Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of our service department, including sales, estimating, purchasing, and customer/vendor correspondence.
Working closely with the Service Manager and Technicians, the Service Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department.
Responsibilities:
Handle service department sales, estimating, and purchasing activities.
Follow up on open parts orders and lead times, ensuring timely delivery.
Correspond with customers and vendors regarding open orders, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
Collaborate closely with the Service Manager and Service Technicians to prioritize tasks and managing schedule to meet customer expectations.
Assist with inside sales and counter sales overflow as needed, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the service department.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in business administration or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hydraulic or industrial equipment industry.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and vendors.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components is desirable but not required Job Type:
