The details to enter will include a descriptive title suitable for SEO searches as well as brand, manufacturer, and artist details.
The cataloger will also perform searches of competitive products and will capture those results to enable the Pricing Manager to set our own pricing.
The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail and knowledgeable of antiques and collectibles.
The company will rely on the Cataloger for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.
Often the product posting will be the first and last thing a consumer sees in their dealings with the company.
As such, the work done by the Listing team must be of the highest quality.
Responsibilities Perform internet research on antique and estate items including furniture, art, and home d cor.
Create accurate and descriptive titles for items to be listed online for sale.
Type in data directly into internal databases and external web resources Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes Verify data by comparing it to source documents Update existing data Inspecting online product detail pages, product information, specs, graphics, and all other digital page content to ensure their visual appeal, accuracy, and ease of understanding.
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost Meet and communicate regularly with Pricing Manager and Executive manager to communicate work results.
Comprehend and effectively demonstrate that the goal of the catalog task is to increase sales.
Assisting with inventory intake, working with company photographers to ensure accurate cataloguing and photos.
Skills Excellent descriptive writing Proven experience as a data entry clerk Fast typing skills Strong knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.
