Responsibilities:
Responsible for company safety program for all locations Oversee CI programs, KPIs and drive cultural emphasis on safety.
Develop and manage initiatives to promote a proactive health and safety culture, including processes designed to increase employee involvement, education and recognition.
Perform safety audits on a periodic basis for all locations to ensure compliance, conformity and audit readiness is achieved and up to date with Federal/State, industry, company and customer requirements Communicate safety procedures to all company employees by actively promoting, providing training and retraining if necessary Supervises Safety/Quality On Site Manager (PA) in matters of safety and any other existing or future company safety personnel Coordinate emergency preparedness plans with Plant Managers and local safety personnel Coordinate and update new employee safety orientation program with Plant Managers and local safety personnel Ensure certifications are current regarding OSHA, train the trainer, first aid, and CPR Develop and updated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures (equipment, suppliers, and approved PN's) as needed Responsible for forklift certification training and license document control for coordination with l Plant Managers and local safety personnel Responsible for company-wide Lock Out Tag Out program and training including coordination with Plant Managers and local safety personnel Maintain Hard Copy Manual of Safety Data Sheets as required by HazCom.
Work with Plant Managers and local safety personnel to maintain this project at the local level.
Oversee the risk assessment process for jobs/orders with proposed new chemicals and chemical processes Conduct Annual Safety Review, Audit, and Score Card for all locations Develop Fall Protection & Confined Space SOP's and training including coordination with Plant Managers and local safety personnel Safety representative for on-site OSHA visit Review and suggest FTE's who should participate in OSHA 10 hours training/certification Participate in weekly Plant Manager conference calls Frequent GEMBA walks Facilitate Plant Level Safety Committee Meetings and monitor Safety Committee Meetings with local plants Ensure OSHA 300 Log is current and posted during required periods at all locations Manage Worker's Compensation investigations and recordkeeping.
Facilitate and Monitor Incident Reporting for close calls, first aids, and TIR's Working with Plant Managers and local safety personnel, ensure fire extinguisher inspections are current at all facilities.
Update Safety toolbox talk topics for use by all facilities Coordinate annual hearing conservation audits Pest Control and GMP as it pertains to safety and facility maintenance Work with Human Resources on annual flu shots, soft skills, and case management efforts Other tasks and projects to help plants meet their safety goals as directed by manager.
Responsible for ordering safety supplies.
Working with Supply Chain create economies of scale for all locations.
Ordering / Purchasing of any materials or supplies including employee luncheons that requires use of Corporate AMEX All other duties as assigned or required by the Director of Operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education (GED), some college course work preferred Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
1-2 years' experience with quality programs and OSHA regulations, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Previous experience with quality and/or safety programs preferred Ability to communicate well with others and work under pressure is a must.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
) Must be precise, organized and accurate individual with strong attention to detail.
Previous experience in corrective action process, plus workplace accident and internal audit investigations Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
