We are seeking a dedicated Scrap Yard Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our yard.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities in the yard, ensuring smooth operations, and coordinating with various teams to meet organizational goals.
Duties:
- Manage yard operations, including overseeing inbound and outbound logistics.
-Must be willing to work outside in all elements -Thrive in a fast-paced environment -Must be able to work on their feet at all times - Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Supervise order picking and fulfillment processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and optimize storage space.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor pricing, negotiate freight rates, and manage cost-effective transportation solutions.
Skills:
- Proficient in dispatching and transportation management.
- Experience in order picking, order fulfillment, and freight handling.
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
