The FSQA Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining food safety and quality programs in the plant environment. The FSQA Manager at Hatfield directly manages six supervisors and a large group of technicians while working cross-functionally with plant operations and other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
As the FSQA Manager - Hatfield Plant you will be responsbile for the following:
Implement and maintain food safety and quality programs.
Source, hire and coach FSQA supervisors.
Establish, monitor and continuously improve FSQA results.
Manage the functional budget and capital requests for the department.
Collaborate with plant teams (operations, accounting, supply chain) to solve problems and implement policy.
Establish and maintain relationship with USDA inspectors and USDA supervision.
Align activities and priorities of the plant FSQA team to the strategic direction of the company.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; science degree preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in QA or production department
Meat industry experience preferred; Food & Beverage industry experience required
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Strong leadership skills required
Must possess a positive Attitude
Ability and willingness to recognize and respond to new concepts
Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills
Multi-task oriented and a team player
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture
Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills preferred
Ability to travel from time to time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
