The Manager - Planning & Scheduling at Clemens Food Group is the "champion" for ensuring that we are making the right products at the right time to both meet our Customer's requirements and to help the business operate as efficiently as possible. The key responsibilities for this important position include:
Strategic Planning Execution
Establish department objectives and goals
Provide organizational visibility on key metrics progress and attainment
Actively track Order Fill & Service Level weekly results and implement actions to drive needed improvements
Regularly review the Demand Plan for opportunities and challenges
Identify trends and occurrences that will help maximize Service Level
Actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
Lead the monthly S&OP meetings for Supply Review and for Supply Reconciliation
Execute and lead the planning for seasonal/holiday product categories
Continually evaluate raw material availability and production capacities to identify potential/actual constraints
Evaluate weekly inventory levels to identify over/under products and reduce distressed inventory
Stay informed and anticipate market dynamics inherent in the Pork and competing Protein industries
Tactical Planning Execution
Execute the Weekly Master Plan and communicate the requirements to the Scheduling Team
Regularly communicate the raw material requirements and products to sell to the Fresh Pork Team
Incorporate inventory targets, new products, and capacity improvements into the Master Plan
Establish and approve Customer date code requirements
Lead the weekly department meeting
Team Management
Ensure that all key performance indicators are regularly reported and utilized by the team for continuous improvement
Implement best practices for optimizing production schedules and inventory management
Align the scheduling team members to best-fit areas of responsibility to maximize results
Develop team members on the hard and soft skills necessary to excel at their roles
Identify and facilitate process improvements in Scheduling to achieve Service Level objectives
Remove barriers for the team and lead by example
Conduct regular 1-to-1 coaching sessions to support team members in attaining individual objectives and delivering the desired results
Lead the weekly Service Level review meeting working closely with the Customer Service Manager
Communicating with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics on current priorities and future projects
Participate with cross-functional teams to improve Inventory Management
Active participation in all relevant Supply Chain area meetings
3-5 years management experience preferred
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Ability and willingness to recognize and respond to new concepts
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where change and growth are part of the culture
Lead through example, be multi-task oriented, and a collaborative team player
Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills
Strong MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
