Shipping Clerk

The Opportunity - Shipping Clerk
Under general supervision, performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Your Challenge:
Inspects customer orders before shipment for accuracy and visible product defects.
Packages all EST products correctly to ensure safe delivery to customers.
Sorts and processes each order by priority ship date and shipping supplier.
Provides shipping coordinator with completed pick-pack list before pickup cutoff times.
Assembles shipping containers.
Attaches all shipping labels/documents/special handling stickers.
Handles placement of packages for pickup and loading for shipping suppliers.
Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Weighs, sorts, and groups by process (plating, heat treating, anodizing, etc).
Follows outlined procedures on processing Rush jobs for above processes.
Operates fork lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
Participates in all shop cleanup activities.
Participates in all inventory/raw stock counts.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Your Expertise:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years related work experience
Computer literate and able to perform basic math.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs and be able to be certified to operate a forklift.
Must be able to communicate effectively and follow procedures and instructions.
Familiarity with hand tools required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
